I research plasmas, which are the fuel of nuclear fusion energy expected as an inexhaustible and environmentally safe energy resource. I perform numerical analysis of heat and particle transport in plasmas and develop numerical models using machine learning to understand transport and predict density and temperature.

We have developed a machine learning model that analyzes the wavenumber space image. (right) The radial profile of temperature predicted by a machine learning model, which can predict temperature much faster than conventional ones.
