We focus on a class of molecules that absorb photoexcitation energy and release it in the form of fluorescence or heat. In particular, we are engaged in the detection of biomarkers expressed in cells and living systems using these functional molecules. In addition, by leveraging these molecular systems, we aim to establish new drug delivery platforms and to develop and translate theranostic agents for cancer diagnosis and therapy.
